Arrival by car

If arriving from Autobahn A8 or A81, proceed to the A831 and follow the sign “Center/University”. Take the Exit (Ausfahrt) ‘Stuttgart Vaihingen’ and turn right onto the ‘Hauptstrasse’. Proceed on the ‘Hauptstrasse’ to ‘Schillerplatz’ at Hauptstrasse 4.  The IEA home office is located on the left side next to ‘Schillerplatz’.  There are several possibilities for underground parking in the vicinity of the ‘Schwabengalerie’ shopping center or the “Marktplatz”.

Arrival by Public Transportation

Stuttgart Main Train Station

 From the Stuttgart main train station there is an option to travel on the rapid-transit railway (S-Bahn) on line’s S1, S2, or S3 in the direction of ‘Herrenberg’, Airport, or Vaihingen.  Exit the train at the Vaihingen station. From the Mercure hotel walk approximately 500 meters through the park and cross the street at ‘Schillerplatz’ to Hauptstrasse 4. 

Arrival by Plane

Stuttgart-Echterdingen Airport

 Upon arrival at the airport proceed on the rapid-transit railway line S2 or S3 to the station ‘Vaihingen’. Leave at the station Vaihingen. From the Mercure hotel walk approximately 500 meters through the park and cross the street at ‘Schillerplatz’ at Hauptstrasse 4.
